Scouting for Food

Door Hanger Pickup: April Roundtable
Door Hanger Drop off: May 5th
Food Pickup: May 12h
Our Goal: Feed the hungry!

The Signal Hill District of the Northwest Suburban Council announces it's annual Scouting for Food Drive, which will take place during Scouting for Food week, May 5-12, 2007. Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts and Venturers from the communities will be on hand that week in their door-to-door campaign to collect non-perishable food and household items such as canned goods, cereals, pastas, flour, sugar, toiletries, paper goods, cleaning supplies, and baby items.

We need EVERY Pack, Troop and Crew to get behind this important Community Service Project. Whether you are out collecting food or helping stock pantry shelves, there is a job for every Scout and leader who wants to get involved.

All food collected will be for our joint cause, feeding the Hungry of our Communities.

As soon as possible, we need to know if your unit will be able to help out with the community food drive.

Call the Northwest Suburban Council Scouting For Food hotline at 847-824-6859. Our District Chairman can also help you...Mike Gutschick at 847-304-5524.
